Mrs. Zoe Muntz

FARMINGTON- Mrs. Zoe Etta Muntz, 67, Farmington, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Van Buren county memorial hospital, Keosauqua, after a long illness.

She was born Feb. 1, 1891, at Villisca, the daughter of William and Sara Prevost Swift, and was married March 16, 1915 at Farmington, to Frank E. Muntz.

Mrs. Muntz was a member of the Farmington Methodist church and the church’s WSCS.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Dr. Elwin Muntz, Keokuk, and Harold and Keith of Farmington; a stepson, Kenneth of Farmington; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ellis Bowers, Oklahoma City, Okla., two daughters, Mrs. Louise Rider, Farmington, and Mrs. Eloise Syfert, Keosauqua, three brothers, George and Earl, Keokuk, and John, Shenandoah; two sisters, Mrs. June Caster and Mrs. Minnie Bowles both of Keokuk; 19 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A daughter is dead.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Methodist church, Farmington, with the Rev. M. Ellsworth Walker officiating. Burial will be in Thompson cemetery, south of Bonaparte.
