Mr. Thos. A. Jamison was found dead on the road west of Bentonsport. It is supposed that his death was caused by heart disease. He was a citizen of Bentonsport and vicinity for 40 years. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, Sept. 3, 1820, moved to Ind. where he married Miss Anna Eaton in 1839, moved to Iowa in 1843 where he has lived ever since. There were six children that came to bless their home all of whom have gone to the long home except one daughter Mrs. Jennie Patterson, who with the wife of his youth, are left to mourn their loss. The funeral sermon was preached by R. Breeden at the Presbyterian church, Dec. 21, 1892.
