Mrs. Gertrude Christian.

Mrs. Gertrude Christian, who died in this city January 9, was a native of Beaver county, Penn., and was born October 27, 1841?. She was married to A. L. Christian in 1859. They resided in Van Buren county, Iowa, where Mr. Christian died about nine years ago. Mrs. Christian leaves two children living, Mrs. Minnie Carlson and Frank Christian of this city. One daughter, Mrs. Ella Safford died a short time ago. She also left four grandsons and a granddaughter.

The funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Friday, Jan. 11, Rev. MacDonald of the Episcopal church conducting the services and the remains were interred in the Hanford cemetery. The pall bearers were all members of the family.

Ed. The above is clipped from the Hanford, Cal., Sentinel. Mrs. Christian left Bonaparte about three years ago. He maiden name was Gertrude Sproat.
