Frank A. Warner

Frank A., eldest son of Jacob and Henrietta Wyer Warner, was born October 4, 1879, on a farm near Bonaparte and passed away at his home at Bonaparte, March 13, 1947 at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 9 days.

He attended the rural school near his home and the local high school.
On March 27, 1902 he was united in marriage with Mary E. Thompson.
Mr. Warner was a farmer by occupation, having farmed continuously on the farm northwest of Bonaparte for 42 years. Retiring in 1944 he moved the home in town where he passed away. Since 1912 he was active in the Van Buren County Farm and Mutual Insurance Co., serving as president for the last 19 years.

He was a member of the Modern ___man and Bonaparte Lodge No. __ F & A M

Surviving are his wife, Mary E. of Bonaparte, five children, Mrs. Byron Meek of Lewistown, Illinois, Mrs. ___Simmons, Kenneth C., Ira F., Mrs. Brown Moore, Jr., all of Bonaparte; also six granddaughters, _ grandsons, and one brother, Byron W. of Bonaparte.
He was preceded in death by one son J. Earl, 1927.

Mr. Warner was a good neighbor and ___ interested in the progress of the community. His greatest joy was his home and family.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Bonaparte conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. S. Ellis. Burial was in Bonaparte cemetery.
The Pall Bearers were Cass Beard, Chester Barker, Carl Mellen, George Page, Byron Miller and Otis Harkness. Edith Gaston sang, accompanied by Mr. Gaston. The Masonic burial __ service was conducted by __ M. Marsh of Keokuk.
