Myrna Grace Corry

Myrna Grace Corry, 70, 1005 S. Main St., died at 1:48 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 1997, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery near Birmingham at a later date. Friends may register until 5 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Jefferson County Cancer Fund or the Birmingham First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Corry was born Feb. 6, 1927 in Fairfield, the daughter of Frank and Georgia Hootman Bagby Sr. She married Jack Corry on Nov. 21, 1945. She lived her entire life in the Fairfield community, attending Fairfield schools and graduating from Fairfield High School in 1945. She was a homemaker and a sales clerk at J. C. Penny Co. in Fairfield for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Stephen of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Nicholas of Columbus, Mo.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Bagby Jr. and Keith Bagby, both of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents.
