Jack H. Corry, 78, of Fairfield, died at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield.
Following his wishes, his body was cremated. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Military funeral honors will be given at the cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Birmingham Presbyterian Church or according to the donor's choice.
Mr. Corry was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Birmingham, the son of Leslie Lee and Margrett Hope Corry. He graduated from Birmingham High School.
He married Myrna Bagby Nov. 21, 1945, in Fairfield. She died June 21, 1997.
He worked for an electrical contractor for 20 years and was a self-employed electrician for several years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve.
He was a member of the Birmingham Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Corry of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Nicholas Corry and his wife Suzanne Spees of Columbia, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Michael and Eric Corry.
