Fred A. BROWN, 74, died Sunday morning, Sept. 2, 1984, at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
He was born Aug. 4, 1910, in Union township, Van Buren County, the son of Warren and Edith GIBERSON BROWN.
He was married to Beryl BONNETT on April 28, 1935, at her parents’ home east of Birmingham. She survives as well as one daughter, Barbara FITZWATER and one son, Clifford BROWN, both of Birmingham, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Mr. BROWN was Union township clerk for 29 years, and lived his entire life in the Winchester community.
Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. at the Burch Funeral Home with Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burial was in Winchester Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Birmingham First Responders or the Birmingham Library.
The Burch Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of arrangements.
