DILLE rites at Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM -- J. Vance DILLE, 78, Birmingham, died at 5:57 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Care Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham with the Rev. Charles McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery, southeast of Birmingham. The family will receive friends at Behner Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Memorials have been established to the New Building Fund-Birmingham Presbyterian Church and to Birmingham First Responders.

DILLE was born Jan. 4, 1910 at Douds, the son of Edwin S. and Sarah Ellen HODSON DILLE. He married Grace GREGORY Aug. 4, 1935 in Memphis, Mo. He worked for the Farmers Store in Birmingham, had worked at Dexter Company and retired from Rockwell International.

Surviving are his wife of Fairfield; three daughters, Myrna Louise COOK of Batavia, Nedra Mae LETTS of Coal Valley, Ill., Marva Diane RICHARDS of Columbus Junction; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and a sister, Ina HOOTMAN of Fairfield. A son, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
