FARMINGTON - Ralph MOSIER, 78, died today at 4:58 a.m. at Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 1, 1895, at Fairfield, to George and Margaret FITCH MOSIER. He married Grace McCOY on Jan. 28, 1920, at Wayland. A Farmington resident many years, he was a retired farmer and was formerly employed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, and at Rider's Nursery. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are three sons, Dennis of Muscatine, William of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Kenneth of Grand Mound; three daughters, Mrs. Nate NELSON of Bonaparte, Mrs. Stanley HOUSE of Burlington, and Mrs. Bernard SETH of Farmington; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His wife died June 21 of this year. Two sisters and two grandsons also preceded him in death.
The services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery.
The body is at Miller Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
