Daisy Dean Wollam
Daisy Dean Bowles, 65, oldest child of Riley and Ellsa Bowles, was born near Farmington, Iowa Oct. 30 1897, and died in Lebanon, Iowa Jan. 29, 1948 at 4:30 in the evening after a lingering illness of several years.
She was married to Henry Edgar Wollam on Feb. 28, 1893. To this union were born 12 children.
Those who are left to mourn their loss are her husband; Riley Wollam, Mt. Sterling, Edna Muir, Keosauqua, Vera Shannon, Mt. Sterling, Irene Brazel, Kewanee Ill., Don Wollam, Reno, Nevada, Earl Wollam, Mt. Union, Nellie Bussy, Rock Island, Ill, 16 grandchildren and one brother, Earl Bowles of Keokuk, and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Wollam joined the Christian church at Cantril, when a young woman and has always lived in that faith. She has always lived in or near Farmington. She was a good neighbor and a kind a loving mother, her friends were numbered by her acquaintances and always appreciated all that was done for her so much. Five children and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Jan. 31, 1943 at the Mt. Sterling church. Interment at Blackledge cemetery.
