Anna Flavina Peacock
Anna Flavina Harward, daughter of David C. and Mary E. Harward, was born near Floris, Iowa, on Nov. 20, 1897, and departed this life on Sept. 27, at her home in Keosauqua. Her age was 50 years, 10 months and 7 days.
She is survived by her mother, two brothers and one sister; Roy who lives I Milton, Lowell of Cantril, and Beatrice of Bloomington, Ill.
On June 24, 1919 she was united in marriage to William C. Peacock. To this union five children were born, one of whom died I infancy. Neil and Carol live on the home farm, Lenore Creath lives on a farm near Keosauqua and Kathleen Starnes lives in Chicago, Ill. Besides her husband and children she leaves six grandchildren, and a host of friends.
She was a member of the Methodist church since an early age. She was a devoted wife and mother, and even during her extended illness she continued to show her cheerful disposition.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2p.m. at the Burnett Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. E. Allen Magill officiating. Music was by Keith Gaston with Ruth Gaston, pianist. Paul bearers were Carl Doud, Dale Smith, Charles Will, Clarence Witt, Wilbur Hanshaw, and Wayne Hendricks, Burial was in Lebanon cemetery.
