Franklin Brown
DOUDS - Franklin D. BROWN, 49, of Douds died Friday morning at his office in Brown's Sawmill at 11:30 a.m.
He was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Van Buren County, the son of Harold and Lala SNOOK BROWN. He had lived in Van Buren County most of his life.
He and his father, Harold, started Browns' Sawmill near Douds in 1946 and have operated it since that time.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his parents of Selma; four sons, Gary D. of Douds, Dean F. of Fairfield, Timothy L. and James C., both of Keosauqua; one daughter, Debra June of Keosauqua; one grandson; one brother, Roscoe of Selma; and one sister, Mrs. Mary KJOS of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. Glen Fuller officiating.
Burial will be in the Douds-Leando Cemetery.
