Sarah Jane Sharp was born at Cleveland, Ohio, October 25, 1842, died at the home of A. G. Lee, Sept. 20, 1906. Aged 63 yrs, 11 mo and 25 days. She is survived by one brother James Sharp, of Monroe, Iowa, and two sisters Mrs. Ann Kipp, of Grafton, Ohio, and Mrs. Charlotte Lee, of Milton, Ia. She and sister Charlotte were the youngest of a family of seven children. A father, mother, two brothers and one sister having preceded her to a better land. Her life was an exemplary one, ever ready and willing to care for others, never thinking of the inconveniences it caused her. She was well known in this vicinity and her death will be mourned by many. The funeral occurred at the home of A. G. Lee south of this place Saturday Sept. 22, conducted by Rev. D. R. Martin of this place. The body was laid to rest in the South Prairie Chapel cemetery.
