MONROE – Mrs. Mary Sharp, 91, died here Friday evening. She would have been 92, Sept. 24.
Funeral services will be held here Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. M. Carlson, pastor of the Baptist church, in charge. Burial will be in the Monroe cemetery.
Mary Sulgrove, daughter of Edward and Margaret Sulgrove, was born near Farmington, Ia., Sept 24, 1846. She was the last surviving member of a family of seven children.
She married James Sharp March 6, 1864, and to this union were born four children, two of whom survive. Two sons, Edward and Bertie, died at the ages of 11 and 3, respectively. Mr. Sharp died, April 22, 1907.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Maggie Neff of Fairmount and Mrs. Jennie Ramage of Monroe.
