Mrs. Martha F. Thrall, prominent in American Legion Auxiliary and county Red Cross work at Ottumwa died Sunday night at her home, 433 N. Market street. She had been ill many months.

She was born in Van Buren county near Mt. Sterling, a daughter of Geo. and Editha Fatherson, and united in marriage with Frank B. Thrall. To this union was born one son, Brown. Father and son are left to mourn their loss. She is also survived by one brother, Thomas Fatherson of Minneapolis.

She was an active member of the First Congregational church of Ottumwa and of the Current History club, was past vice regent of the state D.A.R. and for three years state historian of that organization.
