Ora Pettit, late of Memphis died at his home in the east part of town Wednesday, December 14. Burial was made at Lebanon, Iowa, Thursday December 15.
Mr. Pettit was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, in 1882. He was married to Miss Flora Wellfort in 1906 and in 1910 he and his family moved to Memphis. Mr. Pettit was for a long time employed by the Memphis Electric Light, Heat, and Power Co.
He is survived by 6 brothers, 1 sister, his wife, and 6 children, and his father, H. G. Pettit (Memphis Democrat, December, 1921. Ora was the son of Henry Grimmel & Louisiana Robinson Pettit and was my grandfather).
