Burl Hubert Richardson

Burl Hubert, first born son of William J. and Effie May Richardson, was born in Moulton, Iowa, on February 12, 1897.

He came with his parents to Farmington, Iowa, in 1902 where he spent the remaining years of his life.

He was suddenly called to his eternal home on Jan. 19, 1921, aged 23 years, 11 months, and 7 days. He attended the Methodist Sunday School and church in his earlier years and was a young man of exemplary character. All his education was received in the Farmington school. He was a home-loving boy, having a large place in his heart’s affections for his parents and his brothers and sisters. He was of bright, happy disposition and a very *aily made a great *ot of friends. But two brief years ago his brother Ernest C. have his life for his county and entered into eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn their great loss his grief stricken father and mother and little daughter, Yuvonne aged three. Also three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. George Page of Bonaparte, Iowa, Cleo of Bloomington, Ill; Wilbur, Verne, Edith and little William at home. Also two grandmothers and one grandfather and one niece besides a host of uncles and aunts and friends.

He will be greatly missed from among us, more especially in his home by those who knew him and loved him most, and also by all who had the joy of his friendship.

Funeral services were held at the late home Friday morning by the Rev. G. H. Smith, assisted by the Rev. J. A. Cochran. Beautiful songs were sung by the Methodist choir. The family then entrained for Moulton, Iowa, where interment was made in Oakland Cemetery.
