FRANK RANSOM
DOUDS -- Funeral services were helds Sunday afternoon in the Selma Methodist church for Frank RANSOM, 72, who died Friday at his home in Selma. The Rev. E. K. Parrott of Lovilia was in charge. Burial was in the Iowaville cemetery.
Mr. RANSOM was born May 27, 1876, in Milan, Ind. He was a carpenter and had lived in the Selma community 50 years. Death was due to heart trouble and followed an illness of six weeks.
He was a member of the Selma church, the I. O. O. F. lodge and was active in community affairs.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George MATHIAS and Mrs. Harry PEARSON of Selma and Mrs. A. L. KESSLER of Howard, S. D.; two sisters, Miss Mae RANSOM and Mrs. Elizabeth HULL of Alhambra, Calif.; a brother, Charles, of Ottumwa; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death.
