BERYLE L. KESSLER
ELDON - Mrs. Beryle L. KESSLER, 69, died Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson. She had been in failing health six years.
She was born Nov. 27, 1906, in Selma to Linford and Carrie Belle HARRIS RANSOM. She was a resident of the Selma and Eldon communities most of her life.
On Sept. 30, 1944, she married Arthur KESSLER. He died in 1974.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Evon BROBSTON and Mrs. Eleanor HOOTMAN, both of Burlington, Mrs. Ethel BISHOP of Ottumwa, Mrs. Ederyle ORTERY of Kirkwood, Ill., Mrs. Audrey BROWN of Birmingham, Mrs. Dixie HIXSON of Jefferson and Mrs. Marjorie BRUMBAUGH of Hillsdale, Ill.; three sons, Donald FERREL of Live Oak, Calif., Eugene FERREL of Eldridge and Floyd J. FERREL of Muscatine; 44 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
Also, two stepdaughters, Josephine FERREL of Live Oak, Calif., and Marie NOVA of West Liberty; two stepsons, Bill KESSLER of Fairfield and Joe KESSLER of Pleasant Plain; six stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie MATHIAS and Mrs. Pink PEARSON, both of Selma.
The service was held today at 1 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon, with the Rev. Earl Menning officiating. Burial was in the Iowaville Cemetery.
