MRS. ALICE HOUSE DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER FRIDAY
Mother of Audrain Resident, Native of Iowa, Dies Friday Afternoon

Mrs. Alice House, mother of Mrs. Fred Huff of near Mexico, died at her daughter's home at 1:15 Friday afternoon after having been in failing health since a stroke two years ago. Her condition had been growing worse since a second stroke a year ago.
She was born Alice Rogers, October 22, 1854, the daughter of John and Mahala Rogers at Bonaparte, Ia. On March 19, 1871, she was married to Will H. House, a native of Ohio, and they made their home in Iowa until Mr. House's death June 11, 1933, at Farmington, at the age of 82.
Surviving are six of nine children; one daughter, Mrs. Huff; five sons, George House of Denver, Colo., Ora of Milton, Ia., Glenn of Greeley, Colo., Roy of Portland, Ore., and Harvey of Reeding, Calif.; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other relatives. Three daughters are deceased, one having died in infancy.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at Farmington, Ia., with internment following there.
