MRS. MARY A. HOUSE DIES AT RURAL HOME
Iowa Resident, 81, Passed Away Friday; Services Sunday in Iowa

Mrs. Mary Alice House, 81-year old pioneer Iowa resident, who had been residing here the past two years with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Huff, R.F.D. 6, near Mexico, passed away at 1:15 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mrs. House was stricken with paralysis a year ago last January, but improved following that attack, and had been critically ill only the past three months.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, at the family home at Farmington, Iowa, and the remains were taken there Friday night for services. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Huff and sons; Forest, Keath and Vinton; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huff; and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reynolds, all of this city, are attending the services from here.

Mrs. House, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Rogers, Iowa pioneers, was born on October 22, 1854. She was reared there, and was married to W.H. House, some 56 years ago, and came to Audrain County to reside with her daughter, after her husband's death, three years ago. She was a devout Christian, and a member of the Methodist Church at her home in Farmington, Iowa.

Surviving her are her daughter, Mrs. Huff, of near Mexico, and five sons; Glen House, Greeley, Colo., George of Denver, Colo., Harvey of Redding, Colo., Roy of Portland, Ore., and Ova of Milton, Iowa.

The Ledger joins family friends in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family at Mrs. House's passing.
