DIANA LYNN MERSCHBROCK

Diana,Lynn Merschbrock, 41, of West Point died Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at her home.

Born February 12, 1961, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Kenneth R. and Doris J. Menke Kempker. She married Dale Merschbrock on May 26, 1983. They later divorced.

Mrs. Merschbrock attended Aquinas High School and Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville for three years. She worked at Fort Madison Health Center, West Point Care Center and Sonny's Supermarket (in West Point).

She was on the Sweet Corn Festival Committee, a member of Marqette Organized Boosters and was a cookie mom for the Girl Scouts.

Survivors include two daughters Katie and and Jennifer Merschbrock, both of West Point; her mother of Fort Madison; three brothers, Richard Kempker of Fort Madison; Kenneth Kempker II of Hamilton, Illinois, and Daniel Kempker of Farmington; three sisters, Barbara Dinwiddie, Christy Holtkamp and Sandra Welding, all of Fort Madison; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father and four nephews.

The funeral for Mrs. Merschbrock was held Saturday, February 1, 2003, at St. Mary's Church in West Point, with the Revs. Robert McAleer and Apo Mapanda officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery in Fort Madison.

A memorial has beene established for her children's education. Contributions may be left at King:-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison or at St.Mary's church.
