Willard Clarence Boyd, son of Willard and Laura Munzel Boyd, was born September 5, 1907 at Milton and died the morning of Thursday, Nov. 10, 1988 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua at the age of 81.

He lived his life in the Milton community where he was a self-employed trucker and custodian at the school.

He married Helen Barr July 23, 1931 at Queen City, Mo.

Surviving are six sons, Willard Jr., Des Moines, Russell, Keosauqua, Charles, Edgerton, Kansas, Robert, Wilton, Frederick, Sacramento; California, and Ray in Virginia, a daghter, Julia Martin, Cantril, 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov, 12, 1988 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Milton. A memorial was established for Van Buren Good Samaritan Center van fund. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
