Ruth I. Hiatt
Ruth Hiatt, 83, of 316 Wildwood, Ottumwa, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. l3, 1988, at Good Samaritan Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1905, in Iowa to Marshall and Etta Hayes Haskell. She was a retired LPN at 0ttumwa Regional Health Center and was a member of First Lutheran Curch. She married Wilbert Hiatt Oct. 11, 1924, in Indianola. He died in 1973.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Nelson of Burlington and Delores Overturf of West Des Moines; four grahdchildren; seven great grandchildren; two bothers, Hollis Haskell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Doyle Haskell of Milton; and two sisters, Ada Myers of Keosauqua and Ruby Ryden of Galena, lll. She was preceded in death by an lnfant daughter.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. Ralph D. Andersen officiating. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
