Eugene B. Alexander

KEOSAUQUA - Eugene Bryan Alexander, 72, Keosauqua, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, at his home.

He was bron Sept. 2, 1908, in Van Buren County. He was a farmer until 1963. From 1961-65 he operated the Goodie Garden Cafe in Keosauqua. He was also a bus driver for the Van Buren Community school district for 13 years. He was a member of the Center Chapel Methodist church, Keosauqua.

On Sept. 22, 1934, at Keokuk he married Hazel Sheets, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Maj. E. Leon Alexander, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Donald Alexander, Fort Madison; a daughter, Connie Dobert, Fort Madison; four brothers Arthur, Wyaconda, Mo., Wylie (Wiley), Keosauqua, Neal, Alpha, Ill., and Roy, Jefferson; two sisters, Letha Scott, Keosauqua and Grace Brewer, Milton, and seven grandchildren.

His parents were Emery and Gertie Cavett (Cavitt) Alexander.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, Keosauqua. Burial will be in Center Chapel cemetery.
