Emmett Ray Rodibaugh

Emmett Ray Rodibaugh, 84, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb, 15 in Ottumwa Hospital where he had been for several days. He was born Jan. 17, 1889 at Libertyville, the son of Henry and Ellen Brantner Rodibaugh. He married Mabel Stever in 1909 in Libertyville. She died in 1962.

After farming in Libertyville and Missouri, he moved to Van Buren County in 1936 and operated the Mt. Zion store. In 1958 he moved to Keosauqua andserved as county assessor and a member of the Social Services Board for 20 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Golden Age Club.

He is survived by a son, Richard of Fremont, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Bogner of Lockridge and Marjorie Rodibaugh of LaGrange, Ill.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Charles of Fairfield. Six sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

The funeral was held Sunday Feb. 18 at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church with the Rev. James M. Ford officiating. Burial will be at the Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.
