Minnie Warner Peacock
Minnie Augusta Warner was born near Cantril, Ia., on Sept. 7, 1865, the daughter of Isaac N. and Olive M. Warner, and died at the Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua , Ia., on March 25, 1956 at the age of 90, 5 months, and 18 days.
On June 16, 1889, she was united in marriage to Henry Peacock who preceded her in death in 1933. At the time of their marriage, they moved to a farm near Lebanon which has since been her home. To this union, eight children were born: Lynn and --- died in infancy, and Bion ---young manhood; Rex, William, --- Pearle (Mrs. Dwight DeHart) --- in Van Buren County; --- (Mrs. Charles Pittman), -- Des Moines, Ia., and Bates ---Texas. She leaves 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren
Also surviving are two sisters -- Casady of Cantril and Mrs. May Hale of Milton. One brother, Bert; one half-brother Charles and one half-sister preceded her in death.
She was a loving mother, a generous and helpful neihgbor and friend a long life well lived.
Funeral services were held at the Lebanon Methodist church Tuesday, March 22, 1956 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Interment at the Lebanon cemetery.
