MRS. NANCY MEEK BOYER

Nancy Ann Meek, daughter of Isaiah and Cynthia Meek, was born Feb. 8th, 1847, at Bonaparte, Iowa, where she has resided, within a quarter mile area, all her life. Her death occurred March 14, 1925.

She was united in marriage on May 1, 1865, to Dr. Thomas Wesley Boyer who preceded her in death by about one year. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Florence Bradshaw of Chicago; Harry Boyer, and Mrs. Carl Meek of Bonaparte, all of whom survive her. She also leaves a grand daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Park[er] of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. W. B. Daniel, of Keokuk and two brothers, Byron F. Meek and Kirk L. Meek of Bonaparte.

Of a retiring disposition, Mrs. Boyer spent her life making her home [bri]ght and happy for husband, children and friends. Many are the kind[ly] memories of her sunny smile, and [her] cheerful presence will be sadly missed.

Funeral services were held at the [cut-off] home at 2 30 o'clock on Monday afternoon, with Rev. George H. Duty of Montrose, Iowa, in charge. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
