A SUDDEN DEATH

Mrs. Sarah Long, an old resident of this county, and a highly respected lady, died suddenly at her home in Pittsburg from heart disease on Thursday morning, June 6, in her 69th year. Funeral services were held on Sunday at the Pittsburg church, services being conducted by the pastor Rev. Ellis, after which the body was laid to rest in the near-by cemetery, where her husband was buried some years ago.

She leaves to mourn four children, fourteen grand-children, three sisters and one brother. An obituary will appear next week.

(Photocopy of this obit found on page 201 of Obit Book "A" of the Van Buren County Genealogical Society's collection at the Keosauqua Public Library in Mar 2001. Name of newspaper and date of obit not given, however "1912" was handwritten at the top.)
