JOSEPH HOOTMAN

Monday night of this week Joseph Hootman, a highly respected resident, died at his home in Mt. Zion at the age of 72. He had been in declining health for some time. His second wife survives. There are six children living. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian church at 2 p.m., Wednesday of this week. An obituary will be published next week.

(Photocopy of this obit found on page 201 of Obit Book "A" of the Van Buren County Genealogical Society's collection at the Keosauqua Public Library in Mar 2001. Name of newspaper and date of obit not given, however "1912" is handwritten at the top.)
