OBITUARY
Mr. George Hatch was born January 25, 1851, near Pierceville, Ia., and died at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Nov. 30, 1928, age 77 years, 10 months and 5 days.
On March 4, 1875, he was married to Miss Anna Warner and soon after moved up to their home in Missouri, about five miles south of Cantril. Four children were born to this union, namely: Mrs. Stella Wollam, of near Cantril; Mrs. Georgia Smith, of Elberton, Wash.; Mrs. Ella Barnett, of Memphis, Mo.; Mr. Leslie Hatch, of Weiser, Idaho. In 1905 Mr. and Mrs. Hatch moved to Cantril, at which time they changed their membership from Prairie View Mo., to the Cantril M. E. church. Mrs. Hatch died April 20, 1912.
On Nov. 1, 1914, Mr. Hatch was married to Josie Pittman, at Washington, Iowa, by H. F. Gilbert, a former pastor, at which time they took up their residence at Cantril, and made it their home until the day of Mr. Hatch's death.
