HENRY HULL
Henry Hull a most respected citizen has pased away at his home north of Melrose, Iowa, without warning. His death was a great shock and surprise to his family and friends. He had been in his usual health and no one expected the last summons.
Henry Hull was born in Van Buren, [sic] County, Iowa, July 11th, 1847 and died August 31st, 1914. He was united in marriage to Margaret Palmer, Feb. 25th, 1872. To this union were born eleven children, ten of whom are living; Granville, and Cora of Russell, Iowa; Perry, Alma, Alfred, Clarence, Archie, Leonard and Arthur of Melrose, Iowa; and Roy of Omaha, Nebr. and Floyd who died in infancy. A devoted wife, and twenty grandchildren are left to mourn his loss.
The funeral service was held Wednesday and was conducted by Rev. Cornford and Rev. Chase, of Russell, at the La Grange church after which the body was laid to rest in the La Grange cemetery. Those who attended from a distant [sic] were his son, Roy and wife, of Omaha; Mrs. Henderson, of Eldon; Mrs. Whitmore of Carson, Iowa; J. C. Palmer of Ottumwa; a brother George and wife of Bloomfield, Iowa, and Oliver Langford and wife of Cantril. The symyathy [sic] of all are extended to the bereaved ones in their sorrow.
