MRS. ALBERT PETTIT

Mrs. Albert I. Pettit, age 69, life resident of Van Buren county, passed away at her home southeast of Keosauqua on Monday afternoon at 4:30. Her health had been failing for several months and she had been critically ill about one week.

Before her marriage to Albert Pettit she was Jennie Belle Craig, having been born June 13, 1864. She was an active member of the Christian church of Keosauqua where her funeral services wree held on Wednesday afternoon, at two o'clock with her pastor, Rev. C. V. Allison, in charge.

She is survived by her husband and three sons, Craig of Mt. Sterling, Hazen of Oskaloosa, and Dr. Stanley Pettit of Cleveland, Tenn. There are also two brothers and one sister, John Craig of Keosauqua, Will of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Lizzie Burke of Stockton, Calif.

NOTE: Other sources state Jennie born 1864 died 1933, daughter of Alexander Craig and Hester Isabella Brown. Her husband Albert Isaiah Pettit born 20 Jul 1865 and died 2 Mar 1945, buried in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua, Van Buren County, Iowa.

I am interested in more information on the CRAIG and PETTIT families as Albert's sister Emma Pettit married a cousin of mine.
