Last rites for 67 year old Willard Benton Hunter of Bonaparte were held at the Bonaparte Methodist Church September 17. The Rev. Leroy Moore officiated. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery with Masonic rites at the graveside. Mr. Hunter was fatally stricken at Morris, Il as he and Mrs. Hunter were returning from vacation. He died at Morris Sept. 14. A native of Bonaparte, he was born March 2,1897 the son of Iowa and Hallie Johnson Hunter. He worked in Chicago for twenty years returning to Bonaparte in 1943. On June 19,1929, in Chicago he married Carol Golden of Chicago. He was a veteran of World War I. Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters Mrs. Orville Rudd of Rock Island,Il and Mrs. Lee Zane of Bonaparte and a half-sister, Mrs. Edith Franklin of Newton.
