JOHN L. DAGGS DIES AT ARBELA, FRIDAY
Memphis, Mo., July 16.--John L. Daggs died at his home six miles north of Arbela, Mo., July 11, 1924. He was born on the old home place November 17, 1859, and had lived there all his life. He was married to Ginevra [sic] Davis of Arbela, Mo. Four children were born to them. The youngest son died when about 12 years of age. The living children are Leslie Daggs of Cantril, Iowa, Jack Daggs and Miss Louise Daggs of Memphis, Mo.
The wife died while the children were quite small, and he was father and mother both to his children. His brothers, Granville and Columbus Daggs, both live in Memphis. Mr. Daggs was a member of Mt. Moriah church at which the funeral services were held, the Rev. M. Hart conducting the services, Sunday afternoon, after which burial was made in Mt. Moriah cemetery. Mr. Daggs was a highly respected citizen of Scotland county.
