MRS. NEWTON CANTRIL

Sielda Annabelle Davis, daughter of Weymouth and Rebecca Davis, was born December 25, 1857, and died at her home at Pittsburg, Iowa, Aug. 7, 1924, aged 66 years, 7 months and 12 days.

She was united in marriage to Newton Cantril Dec. 17, 1879. Two sons were born to this union, Ira Lemuel and Ralph W., who with their wives and eight children are left to mourn the demise of a dear mother and grandmother.

She was a faithful worker in the M. E. church, of which she was a devoted member and lived in the faith continually. Besides her children and grandchildren, her husband, two brothers, three sisters and a host of friends mourn her departure.

Funeral services were held in the Pittsburg M. E. church, Saturday, August 9th at 11 a.m. Sermon by the pastor, Rev. Morse, from the text 1 Cor., 15:50: "Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." Interment in Pittsburg cemetery.
