MRS. JENNIE WILKIN

Jennie, eldest daughter of Michael and Ellen McManus, was born near Mt. Sterling Jan. 28, 1863, and passed away at her home in Keosauqua June 27, 1930.

She grew to womanhood in Clark county, Mo. She received her education in the Missouri schools and one [sic] of the prominent teachers of the county in which she grew up. In 1898 she with her family, moved to Keosauqua where she spent the remainder of her life. On Oct. 6, 1904, she was united in marriage with Abraham Wilkin, who preceded her in death about 24 years ago.

Mrs. Wilkin confessed her Savior in early life and has always been a faithful servant of the Lord, though for some time she has been physically unable to be an active member of her church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star lodge of Keosauqua.

She leaves to mourn her departure one brother, T. J. McManus of Tulsa, Okla., one nephew, Champ C. Todd who has for a number of years made his home with her; some cousins and many friends. Thus ends the life of a good Christian woman, a good citizen and a good neighbor.

Funeral services at the residence in Keosauqua at two o'clock, Sunday afternoon by Rev. Ben. R. Hollis. Interment was in Blackledge cemetery, southeast of Mt. Sterling.
