MILTON WOMAN, 78, IS SURVIVED BY BROTHER, SISTER AND TWO NEPHEWS

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Z. Raney, who died at her home in Milton Thursday, were held at the Methodist church, in Cantril Friday afternoon in charge of the Rev. A. M. Hadley.

The bearers were Henry Beaty, Elmer Casady, Otis Lee, Charley Godown, Walter Godown and Elza Sheets. Singing was by Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hootman, with Mrs. Ferol Wellborn at the piano. Burial was at the Hoskin cemetery.

Mrs. Raney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hootman, was born in Van Buren county in 1858. She was united in marriage in 1883 with John Landess, who died in 1905. In 1916 she was married to Finley Raney of Valisca and the couple lived there until Mr. Raney's death in 1926. Mrs. Raney and her brother, Henry Hootman, then moved to Milton.

Mrs. Raney is survived by one half-sister, Anna Wilson, and one half-brother, Sam Hootman, and two nephews, John and Dave Hootman.
