ANNIE DOOLEY

Annie Dooley, daughter of William H. and Palmira Dooley, was born January 10, 1865, and passed away June 10, 1924, aged 59 years and 5 months. She was born on a farm near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, where her parents and family resided until 1875, when they moved to Missouri where they resided several years, afterwards removing to a farm near Cantril. For the past eight years she has been a resident of Cantril.

She united with the Christian church in 1911 and has been a faithful Christian since. She suffered a stroke of paralysis some three years ago and has been quite poorly since that time. However, through all of her trials and suffering she has been a kind and patient sister, neighbor and friend, one who has won the respect of the entire community.

Her son Russell died July 6, 1912, at the age of nineteen. She leaves to mourn her departure one sister, Sarah, and two brothers, David and Eli, all of this place, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Cantril, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The funeral sermon was preached by Elder Herbert C. Shaw, pastor of the church, and he was assisted by Rev. Warren, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial at Mt. Olive cemetery.
