Donald A. Manning,87, formerly of Cantril died Monday Oct. 7,2002 at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, where he has made his home since December 1998. He was born Oct. 2,1915 in Henry County to Charles W. and Mabel J. Norton Manning. He married Ruth Cole March 6,1951. She died Nov. 23,1998. They farmed near Cantril and retired to Cantril in 1991. Surviving are two brothers Cliff and Rex Manning both of Bonaparte; a sister, Josephine Turner of Farmington and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Wade, a sister, Jessie Scabery and a nephew ,Kenny Turner. Funeral services were held Oct. 11,2002 at the Pedrick Fuberal Home, Keosauqua. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.
