John H. Orr,87, of Keosauqua died Friday Jan. 4,2002 at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua. He was born April 13,1914 near Douds to William and Myrtle Canny Orr. He married Marjorie Ewing May 27,1944, in Keosauqua. He lived his life in Douds and Keosauqua. Early in life he was a coal hauler and worked 28 years for Van Buren County Highway Departmnet, retiring in 1976. Surviving are his wife, four sons, William and his wife Sandra of Washington, Ia, Donald and his wife Linda of Monmouth, Il, Ronald and his wife Kim of Gardendale, Al and Larry and his wife Darlene of Keosauqua; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James and a great grandson. Funeral services were held Jan. 8,2002 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds.
