Louise Cocherell,65, of Bonaparte, died December 26,1996, at the University Hospitals in Iowa City. Born April 29,1931, in Bonaparte, she was the daughter of Roy and Bertha Gibbs Parker. She married Elmo Simpkins who preceded her in death. On December 22,1974, she married Willard Cocherell in Farmington. Mrs. Cocherell worked at the Fairfield Glove Co,in Bonaparte for 45 years. She retired in 1992. She was a resident of Bonaparte for the last 23 years. Survivors include her husband, a son, Mike Simpkins of Farmington; a stepson, Randy Cocherell of Durango, Co; a stepdaughter, Ronda Cocherell of Colorado Springs, Co; five grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Spory of Kahoka, Mo and Edna Miller of Bonaparte; and a brother, Roy of Jacksonville, Fl. Besides her first husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. A memorial service was held Dec. 29,1996 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
