Stella McElroy was born in Cantril, Iowa on December 8,1889, at what is now the Christian church parsonage. She was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.F. McElroy. When but a small child she moved with her parents to Mt. Sterling, Iowa where they made their home for about ten years. From there they moved to Oklahoma for two years and then returned to Cantril where with her parents, Stella has made her home for the last nine years. She leaves the immediate family; the father, mother, and a sister, Mrs. Lottie Roberts, besides other relatives, loved ones and a large circle of friends. The funeral was held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon, March 6,1911. Interment was in the Maple Grove cemetery.
