STOCKPORT - William O. Jameson, 80, of rural Stockport, died Wednesday at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua, where he had lived for two years.
He was born May 1, 1894, at Keosauqua to Horace and Alice Huffman Jameson. On Dec. 16, 1928 he married Helen Harper at Keosauqua. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Frank of Keosauqua and Verle of Norfork, Va,; and nine daughters, Joyce Stevens of Wichita Falls, Tex., Joan Jerrel of Marietta, Ga., Jonnine Long of Lancaster, Calif., Rose Jameson and Judith Warrington of Stockport, Sharon Clark of Smyrna, Ga., Nancy Jameson of Keosauqua, Sandra Wheaton of Independence, Mo., and Violet Ballard of Iowa City; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie; two sons, two brothers and two sisters.
He was a painter and had lived most of his life in Keosauqua.The service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Dan Mast officiating. Burial will be in Purdom Cemetery.
