She lived her young life in VanBuren county, six miles west of Farmington, going to Nebraska when a young woman, she met and married Mr. Amende. They established a home in Nebraska, living there several years, then moved to Idaho, and later to Washington. her children are scattered throughout the west and northwest, two sons living in California, two sons in Washington, one son in Idaho, one daughter at Spokane, Wash., the youngest daughter a missionary in China. She and her family visited the people in the U.S. two years ago. Since the war, her mother hasn't had mail direct from her daughter, just hearing from the Chinese government that all Americans are all right in that area.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children; several grandchildren; a devoted sister, Mrs. Kate Ludwig, three brothers, Jake, Fred and John Muntz and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a devoted Christian character, and to know her was to love her.(The above was copied from non-dated newspaper clipping from the Muntz Family Scrapbook)
