Goldie Floy Fisher, daughter of William and Mary Holcomb Strait, was born Oct. 25,1890, in Van Buren County and died Nov.30,1984 in the long term care unit of the Davis Couny Hospital, Bloomfield, at the age of 94. She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1909 and taught school for ten years. On April 24,1919 she married Clarence W. Fisher in Milton. He died Feb. 10,1965. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Helen Ardis Barker,, two brothers, Lee and Sam Strait, and two sisters, Faye Roush and Chloe Price. Remaining to cherish her memory are a son, Lloyd of Bloomfield; two daughters, Mavis Stookesberry and Mary Louise Short, Milton; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one sister, Mildred Campbell, Keosauqua, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Fisher lived her life in the Lebanon-Milton area. Funeral services were held Dec. 3,1984, in the Grace United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Lebanon Cemetery.
