Dwight W. Henkle,59, of Ottumwa, died unexpectedly at his home April 14. Death was due to a heart attack. He was a farmer and the son of Marion and Edith Davis Henkle, born in Van Buren Co,Oct. 2,1910. He had been a resident of Wapello county, since 1945. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific area. His marriage to Helen I. Shobe took place Aug. 26,1942, in Lancaster, Mo. She survives. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Edith Henkle of Selma; two sisters, Mrs. Arlene Gardner of Selma and Mrs. Florence Crawley of La Grange, Il; several nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be April 16, at the Johnson Funeral Chapel, Ottumwa. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa with the American Legion post in charge of military services.
