James Troutman Dies Suddenly James E. Troutman, 70, died Tuesday, Dec. 26 while buying stock at a farm southwest of Keosauqua.

He was the son of Scott S. and Minnie Himish [sic] Troutman and was born Sept. 17, 1891, at Bonaparte. He was a livestock dealer, operating the Bonaparte Sale Barn for many years.

He was married Dec. 21, 1911, to Mary L. Totton [sic]. He was married Nov. 15, 1949 to Grace Grove, who survives. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen.

Surviving besides his widow are two sons, Elmer of Bonaparte and Joe of Wever, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Steeples of Bonaparte, Mrs. Esther Lamborn of Farmington, Mrs. Wanda Adams of Burlington and Mrs. Mary Maxine Davis of Anoka, Minn.; a brother Frank of Bonaparte; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A brother, Joe, three sisters, Clara, Delores and Georgia, and son Edgar preceded him in death.

The services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church at Bonaparte, Rev Leroy Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery. The body is at the Miller Funeral Home in Farmington.
