Ernest C. Huff, 78, died July 1, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua. He had suffered a stroke on June 13. He was born in the Harrisburg community on April 9,1883, the son of Benjamin and Minerva McCall Huff. He was married Nov. 11,1908, to Ina Cass, who survives. Besides his widow, he leaves six sons, Brooks of Portland, Or; Donald of Herman, Mo; Carl of San Diego, Ca; Marshall of Long Beach, Wa; Allen of Milton and Robert of Brownwood, Tx; four daughters, Mrs. W.W. McIntosh of Keosauqua; Mrs. Arthur Hamlett of Mt. Sterling; Mrs. William Peel of Waukegan, Il and Mrs. Merle Meredith of Bonaparte; 36 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn three sisters, Mrs. Lena Burkhart and Vitura Huff of Davenport and Mrs. Guy Gardner of Stockport. Funeral services were held June 2 in Keosauqua. Burial was in the Bentonsport Cemetery.
