Esther B. Ewing,91, of Keosauqua died Oct. 2,2000 at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua. She was born oct. 20,1908 near Pittsburg to Harvey and Eliza Cole Thomas. She married Emmit Ewing, March 7,1933 at Lancaster, Mo. He died Jan. 5,1993. She had lived in Douds and Bonaparte and Keosasuqua and entered the Good Samaritan Center in May,2000. Surviving are her daughter Edna Lewman and husband Thomas of Keosauqua, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, a brother Sherman Thomas of Rancho Cordova, Ca and a sister Gladys Haynes of Wentzville, Mo. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Kenneth, Stanley, Roy and Wayne Thomas and two sisters, Lena Kreiss and Josie Brooks and a grandson. Funeral services will be Oct. 5,2000 at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Interment will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
